On Friday afternoon, December 21, 2012, Sammie Davis, Jr., age 49, was visiting a local Kroger as he had done on many occasions.  For reasons still unknown, he was shot multiple times in the chest by Macon Police Officer Clayton Sutton in the Kroger parking lot.  At the time of this shooting, Mr. Davis was unarmed.  To date, the Macon Police Department has been unable to shed any light on what caused Officer Sutton to shoot an unarmed in the chest multiple times.

The family of Sammy Davis, Jr. has been hit hard by their loss and is in search of answers as to how a routine trip to Kroger could end in the tragic death of a beloved brother and uncle.  Forrest B. Johnson & Associates will get the answers and justice that Mr.  Davis’ family deserves.
