Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed Against Atlanta’s Emory University Hospital For Medical Negligence

In December of 2011, Wanda Wright Brown was admitted to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia for a simple surgical procedure - a thyroidectomy. Hours after the procedure, Ms. Brown began to develop a neck hematoma which went undiagnosed and resulted in respiratory distress, cardiac arrest and ultimately her death.

The lawsuit filed against Emory University Hospital, and others, alleges negligence by the doctors and nurses for failure to timely recognize, report and the treat signs and symptoms of her neck hematoma and respiratory distress.

Wanda Brown was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend. She is greatly missed by her family. Forrest B. Johnson and Associates is zealously representing Wanda's family to get the answers and justice they so greatly deserve.
