Allyson R. Pitts

Allyson R. Pitts is a Detroit native and graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Atlanta. In 1995 she received her Juris Doctor Degree from West Virginia University College of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia on November 21, 1995.
Allyson acquired significant legal experience as a staff attorney, a public defender and a sole practitioner prior to joining Forrest B. Johnson & Associates. Her practice areas are personal injury, criminal defense, domestic relations and housing code violations. Currently, Allyson serves as an Associate Judge for the City of East Point Municipal Court.
Allyson is admitted to practice in the trial courts of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Federal District Court of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Allyson has been named one of Georgia’s Rising Stars in the Atlanta Magazine and the Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Star Edition, and one of Atlanta’s Who’s Who in the Law Industry in the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Allyson also served as a panelist on one of the Family Law Convocations on Professionalism. Allyson is a member of several professional and civic organizations such as the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys; Gate City Bar Association; American Bar Association; National Bar Association; Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Atlanta Suburban Alumnae Chapter; Metro Atlanta Lions Club; and the South Fulton Running Partners.
